Low Key Photography
The main feature of low key photography are the shadows and the aim is to increase the contrast in the image ; directing the viewers attention straight to the subject. In order to do this, your low key set-up has to be in a dark room, with a black backdrop and something to make the light less harsh i.e. an umbrella or a reflector. You will also need a back light for illumination. Your camera settings for low key will need to have a low shutter speed, ranging between 125-200; with a wide aperture of 5.6 and an ISO of 800.
