High Key Photography
The main feature of high key photography is the unnatural bright light used to blow shadows out, to convey a positive or upbeat tone. High key photography highlights the subject, with an attention-grabbing contrast. In order to do this, your high key set-up has to be in a dark room, with a white backdrop, with two lights focusing on the backdrop and two lights on the ceiling. You can use an umbrella or a reflector to make the light less harsh on the subject or you can use these to reflect the light more onto the subject. Your camera settings for high key will need to have a shutter speed of 125, an aperture of 4.2 and an ISO of 200.
